D-17  Pekin IL ST  " Season Opener "

  Webster's defines " Dandy " as something EXCELLENT in it's class.  The season opener at Pekin

was every bit of that and more . 

 There were 136 riders and quad drivers staring at John Powell on the track prep machine grooming the track.  Each  biting at the bit  to try out their new  "stuff "   purchased over the winter.

                50 Shaft: 

#11 little Landon Drowns started his season with a win 

#34 Blaine Root 2nd.

#15 Quentin Friday 3rd.  

                50 Chain : 

#211 Kash Shnowake  continued where he left off last year by winning his main

#15 Landon Miller battled with # 18 Braiden Cox for 2nd withMiller taking the spot and 

Cox 3rd.

               

 

 

 

 65cc :

After chasing # 10 Indiana's Morgan Monroe for 4 laps #75 Chase Banning finally caught and passed her for the win Morgan 2nd.  Galesburg's # 21 Harley Kent 3 rd.  

                85cc:

#99 Tyler Mink and # 35 Trent McVey have their weekly wars . Trent led for a few laps but Tyler made a last lap pass for the win. Trent 2nd. # 47 tanner Felland 3rd. 

                 125 4 Stk. -12 yrs.:

#37 Lukas Villarreal won going away 

#8 Joestela Willis 2nd.

                 86-160 4 Stk. 12 + :

#21 Chase Wright got the win with #35 Trent MC Vey a very close 2nd. #32 Gary Rolofson3rd.

                 86-200 2 Stk. :

# 14 Terry Leffler ran unopposed

                 250 : 

#22 Blake Claeys lead from the light. # 25 Alex Felland held off #11 Molly Terry for 2nd .Molly 3rd.

# 15 Bri Hazen 4th. and # 52 Megan Powell 5th.

                 450 : 

 After a re-start # 55 Cole King held off # 09 Springer Deroesar for the win DeRosear 2nd #2 Erich Voitel a close 3rd. #44 Steven Sandoval 4th and # 99 Josh Blazek rounding out the top 5 

                   Open Am:

# 22 Blake Cleays  Won with # 99 Josh Blazek wheel back for 2nd #2 Erich Voitel another wheel back for 3rd.# 09 Springer DeRosear 4th. And Steven Sandoval 5th.

                   50 Super Senior:

# 50 ( red #'s ) Dan Little won # 50 Mark Shedparis a close 2nd. # 37 Rick Clark a respectable 3rd.

                   Sen 40 + :

# 48 Greg Donley  grabbed the lead out of  2 and never looked back. # 1n Tony Watkins and # 72 Rick York had a war for 2nd. with Watkins taking the position York 3rd. # 74 Stan Camp a close 4th.

                Vet 30 :

# 17 John  Powell groomed the track the showed everyone what a good job he did  won his final.

# 79p John Harshbarger 2nd # 1n Tony Watkins 3rd. # 67 Rick Kent 4th.

                 Vintage:

# 74 Stan Camp lead for the git go and 2 laps to go handed the lead to # 17 Chad Stewart when his motor quit. # 50 Mark Shedparis 2nd.  # 25 Robbie Root 3rd. #1 James Spencer 4th.

                 Open Pro : 

When It's your day  , " IT"S YOUR DAY :  Sunday was Nat. # 81  Justin Hittle's  Day.

Buy the 2nd lap Hittle ran away and hid from the pack. With names like Pearson, Vance, Cassiday Bros, Bushman Bros, Carter, and some fast Pro Sport veterans that's quite an accomplishment.

Nat. # 27  Pearson 2nd. # 19L Adam Bushman a wheel back for 3rd. # 43P Darren Carter 4th. #31L

Scott Bushman 5th.

                 450 Pro :

To prove it wasn't a fluke, Nat. #81 Justin Hittle did it again. Checked out , Bye Bye , See Ya  whatever adjective you could use, Hittle won by 1/2 a lap.  # 19L Adam Bushman diced with Nat# 27 Rob Pearson

with Bushman taking the 2nd spot and Pearson 3rd. #41p Dustin Cassiday a very respectable 4th. and Darren Carter # 43P 5th.

                 Quads :

#44 Tracy Jones took the win . # 93 Tim Loomis 2nd # 68  Paul Klus 3rd.and # 36 Neil Johnson 4th.  

Sunday was a " Dandy " Season Opener for everyone and the nice thing about it…………..
